Ronin continues to make great strides! A big focus has been learning patience, an essential skill that will serve him well as he progresses toward his future work as a service dog. His foster has also been working with him on his new collar, helping him learn not to pull so much — a small change that's already making a big difference in their walks together.
Amid all the hard work, Ronin still found time to enjoy the little things, savoring a pup cup with his signature white nose on full display (photo below). It's moments like these that remind everyone how much personality Ronin brings to his training journey.
At just 14 weeks old, Ronin is settling into his foster home and beginning the foundational work that will shape his future as a PTSD service dog. This month, Ronin's foster family has focused on the basics — potty training, leash introduction, and building confidence in a new environment. He's been training alongside a littermate, Camo, who is on the same path, and the two have provided each other with steady companionship and socialization throughout the month.
Ronin is beginning his incredible journey from playful pup to — eventually — a life-changing service dog to an American hero. Thank you for supporting him on his journey!
